The CNEF directory: eglises.org
The National Council of French Evangelicals (CNEF) maintains eglises.org, which lists every place of worship affiliated with its 36 member church unions, representing more than 70% of France's evangelical Protestant churches. Search results can be filtered by city, department (French administrative region), or church union, making it easy to find the nearest congregation matching a specific tradition: Baptist, Pentecostal, evangelical Reformed, charismatic, or rooted in a particular community's expression.
The FPF directory: protestants.org
The Protestant Federation of France (FPF) runs a map-based directory covering the full range of French Protestantism, Lutheran, Reformed, evangelical, Methodist, Adventist, and Pentecostal alike. It federates 26 church unions, 7 associated churches, and 12 communities, close to 500 communities and institutions in total. The interactive map supports search by address, pastor's name, or religious tradition, along with contact details for each church.
How the two directories differ
The two directories overlap in part, since some church unions belong to both the CNEF and the FPF, but their coverage isn't identical. The CNEF directory focuses specifically on the evangelical movement, while the FPF covers the full spectrum of historic Protestant and evangelical traditions in France. For a targeted search for an evangelical or Baptist church, eglises.org is the more direct starting point; for a broader view of French Protestantism as a whole, protestants.org offers a complementary overview.
Once you've found a church
Many congregations listed in these directories meet in rented spaces, multipurpose halls, or former retail buildings, with no permanent baptism setup.
